The Patented Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)
prevents the faucet tube from bursting
in freezing conditions, even if a hose is
unintentionally left connected to the faucet.

Kit includes all the necessary parts to
retrofit the most-common 4" to 14"
Woodford operating rods*.

RK-ADJ-PRV Instructions

Simple Installation!

STEP 1:
SHUT-OFF WATER SUPPLY! Remove Handle
Screw, Handle, Packing Nut and Packing.

STEP 2:
Remove old rod. Place handle back on rod
without screw and turn counter-clockwise.
Remove old rod. Save and reuse old
brass washer - Fig.1

STEP 3:
Use the RK-ADJ-PRV assembly instructions
chart from the kit and align your old rod assembly to determine the length and color-coded components needed for installation. Discard remaining parts.

STEP 4:
Press-in 1 or 2 stainless steel clips
according to installation chart , to secure
stem components.

STEP 5:
Insert the new RK-ADJ-PRV rod
assembly. Assemble old brass washer, new
packing, packing nut, handle and handle screw.

STEP 6:
Turn water supply back on and use a
pressure nozzle to check for leaks. If packing
nut area leaks, lightly tighten with an adjustable wrench.

Your faucet tube is now
protected from bursting
during freezing conditions!

* Overall faucet tube lengths including faucet
head are 6" to 16". This kit only fits
Woodford Faucets.
